Group Therapy

We love group therapy at Padera Therapy and Wellness. Group therapy is method of therapy that centers around a particular topic or issue. Group therapy allows you to learn new coping skills, connect with others who are grappling with the same challenges, and learn from the experiences of others. It helps build a sense of community and connectedness and often helps reduce a sense of shame around issues. Our clients frequently leave groups saying, “I thought it was just me! I’m so relieved I’m normal!” in addition to feeling like they have new tools and ideas about ways to move forward.

We are incredibly excited to share we have a new group beginning in January 2024. We’re kicking off our group series with a Guided Expressive Journaling Group! The benefits of journaling have been proven by research again and again. Along with stress reduction and personal growth, research shows that benefits to journaling include developing problem solving and critical thinking skills, expanding intuition and self expression, and developing emotional language. Our group, led by art therapist Jacqueline Chaidez, will explore a range of self expressive topics such as emotional identification and identity exploration. All skill and creativity levels are welcome! Spots are limited to ten participants, so email Kristin@PaderaTherapy.com to reserve your spot now!

The group will be held via Zoom on Saturdays from 11:00-12:00 pm from January 13- February 17, 2024. We will be accepting insurance for group coverage. If you don’t have insurance or don’t want to use it, it is a $30.00 commitment per group ($180.00 in total).
