Shannon Giovingo, MSW, LCSW

Social Worker and Energy Healer

Are you a person who struggles in your relationship with a parent, sibling, boss or friend who has a personality disorder? Are you an exhausted caregiver, people-pleaser, perfectionist, overachiever, or rescuer who is ready to retire your role? Do you recognize you might be overdue to grieve your experiences and finally find ways to experience ease from anxiety or to replace outdated defense mechanisms? Perhaps you’re seeking to reweave your experiences and want to learn how to peacefully realign with an experienced guide by your side.

Hi, I’m Shannon and I help sensitive souls learn to break free from reactivity to external circumstances and repair their relationships by creating compassionate insight to their inner worlds. All healing and repair starts with you, and we work together from the inside out.

Instead of attempting to control your internal state through controlling others’ responses, you can learn to seek safe connection inside your body and calmly listen to your deepest wisdom (which is often found in our experiences of heartache). By co-creating a safe, receptive, and centered space, together we will re-examine and seek to understand the impacts of your experiences on your sense of self and your perceptions of the world. By blending methods of social work, psychology, mindfulness, somatic experiencing and intuitive energy practices, I will work with you to uncover the hidden pieces of yourself that carry the answers you seek. Every session is customized to address your needs, which can include a combination of breathwork, sound balancing, movement, awareness building and self-reflection practices. Together, we can expand your inherent capacity to heal.

Sessions may include re-examining conditionings of early childhood environments, gently learning how to embody unresolved emotions, practicing mindful disruptions to unhealthy behavioral patterns, reconnecting to your intuition, addressing relationship repairs, and seeking to reclaim inner harmony and balance. I would love the opportunity to support you as you integrate sources of your own deep wisdom for self-healing and renewal.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cockapoo puppy Harry, traveling with my husband, or enjoying a hot cup of tea with friends. My nose is typically in a book (or several) finding new ways to build self care rituals such as meditation, aroma therapy, journaling, labyrinth walks and forest baths.

I am in network with Anthem, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, United Healthcare/Optum, and Cigna. Please call me at (630) 940-6828 or email me at Shannon@paderatherapy.com to schedule an appointment or a phone consultation!

Questions about insurance? Give us a call and we would be happy to answer them! We can often work with insurance companies if we are out-of-network. If we are an out of network provider or you do not have insurance, our rate is currently $130.00 for a 50 minute session. However, we also offer reduced rates in special circumstances. Finances should never be a deterrent for seeking help! We work with families to come up with a number that works for you!
